This may seem like a strange question, but are there any photos that you DON'T want taken?

Are there any divorces, deaths, or tensions in the family that I should be aware of so that I don't embarrass anyone? Are divorced parents or grandparents okay with being in photos together?

If you've hired me for 6 hours or more, will dinner be provided for my second shooter and myself? If not, let me know so that we can plan accordingly.

Rough timeline of the entire day - this is extremely important! Let me know if you'd like some help. I may email you back and suggest changes. If you've hired me for a certain number of hours but are unsure which hours you'd like me to be there, just include the whole day and we will figure it out!

If your reception is during sunset, are you okay with me pulling you out of the reception for about 15 minutes for photos? Sunset provides the best lighting and my favorite (and clients' favorite!) photos are taken during this time.

So that I can credit them in your blog post, please include all vendors that are involved in your wedding! (planner, florist, wedding attire, rings, hair and make-up, videographer, DJ/band, caterer, cake, rentals, and anyone else you've hired!)

Which photos are most important to you? (Which photos if not captured would you be sad about?)

Lastly, here are some things to remind you:

Remind bridal party to keep bridal suite clean / free of clutter so photographer doesn't have to clean up when getting there for getting ready photos.

Make sure hair & make up is finishing up by the time photo arrives so your timeline does not get pushed back.

Make sure your details box is ready for me when I arrive (provide both the rings, flowers, ring box, hanger for dress, shoes, backdrop, garter, jewelry, invitation, anything else you want detail shots of)

Remind your guests no professional photography besides your photographer and videographer

Family Shot List

Family photos can be the most stressful part of the wedding day. I have found that over time this process really helps simplify /keep things easy and organized. This is the part where you are going to type up/make a family shot list for me. (keep this list at 15 groupings or less) if you go over 15 groups it can take longer than 30 min so I usually suggest to my couples to keep it to immediate family only. You will make a list like the one below so that I can read off the names quickly and make family photos go by faster. This will also help us know who to put with who to avoid putting people together that might not get along etc.

If you have a larger family you can do a couple of big group shots with everyone in the photos.

Example: (please use first names instead of mom / dad so we can call out the names)

If there are any shots you want solo (alone with your parents etc.) please include those as well.
